Debit card fraud is bad for business.  Keep your customers and your business safe by following these fraud prevention tips:

• Keep PIN pads out of sight when not used.
• Check your PIN pads and ATMs regularly for anything unusual.
• Lock up your PIN pads at the end of the day (treat your PIN pads as though they are cash).
• Include log-in sheets for accountability of PIN pads in your opening and closing procedures.
• Consider installing surveillance cameras.
• Know your employees.  Exercise due diligence when hiring and check references.
• Remind your customers to protect their PIN.
